Notus is pleased to announce that it’s EPFR-609 fire retardant prepreg and NE11FR intumescent film materials have successfully completed a large scale NFPA 285 fire test as part of an architectural project qualification process.
This international test standard provides a standardized procedure for evaluating the flammability characteristics of modern exterior wall assemblies. The NFPA 285 test uses a full two-story wall assembly and exposes the test sample to an intense fire source for 30 minutes. To successfully pass the NFPA 285 test the sample must limit flame spread both vertically and horizontally; with the Notus materials producing an excellent result satisfying all requirements of the test standard.
Notus worked with its client and Dubai based fire testing consultants Thomas Bell-Wright to achieve this latest fire test classification, taking another significant step forward with its market leading range of fire retardant materials.
